A journey shaped by service, inclusion and local experience.
MOHI was conceived by Dr. Mugisha Jeremiah and Richardson Kyeyune in 2021. Their intention was to organise practical support for people and communities facing barriers to health, disability inclusion, protection, education, participation and dignity.
The organisation's identity has grown through community outreach, mentorship, disability and mobility support, child-protection engagement, youth leadership and collaboration with local structures. MOHI incorporated in 2023 and later obtained indigenous NGO registration and a permit to operate in 2024.
As MOHI grew, it strengthened its governance, financial controls, safeguarding, PSEA/SEAH, complaints, volunteer-management and anti-fraud systems. The organisation is now building one public platform that clearly separates completed work, ongoing projects and planned initiatives.
