Who We Are
A youth-led, community-rooted Ugandan NGO advancing dignity, inclusion, protection, participation and sustainable wellbeing.
Hope becomes meaningful when it is organised into responsible action.
Mission of Hope Initiative was founded in 2021 by Dr. Mugisha Jeremiah and Richardson Kyeyune, who were both below 35 at the time of establishment. MOHI has since developed a youth-led governance structure in which young Board members hold real voting, financial, safeguarding and project-oversight responsibilities.
MOHI works with and for underserved people and communities. Our work brings together inclusion, protection, health, civic participation, community capacity and sustainable wellbeing without reducing people to stories of need.
We believe every person should participate in humanity with respect and dignity, with diversity recognised as a strength.
What guides MOHI.

We take responsibility for resources, conduct and results.
We work through clear roles, mutual respect and shared purpose.
We pursue quality, learning and respectful conduct.
We prevent harm and maintain safe reporting routes.
We support local leadership rather than replacing it.
